New First Recording album leads us into the workshop of a fascinating figure of the Hungarian music scene, a contemporary of Mahler, Emanuel Moór (1863-1931), whose pieces for cello and piano are performed by Adrienne Krausz and Péter Szabó. Moór was born in the town of Kecskemét, and his talent was discovered by Pablo Casals, with the help of whom Moór achieved a great career as a composer. He wrote pieces for such musicians as Eugene Ysaÿe Fritz Kreisler, and Carl Flesch. On this record by Adrienne Krausz and Péter Szabó there are three sonatas for cello and piano.
